Your Perfect Pet
You may just think of your pet as a buddy to keep you company. You are partly correct and partly incorrect. You are partly correct because a pet does keep you company and is your buddy. You are partly incorrect because a pet is something that gives you a responsibilty, not just something to snuggle with. For example, if you just lay around with your dog all the time and don't take it for walks and you just potty train it, your dog A. will never get the experience of being outside and B. won't get the exercise it needs. You always need to make sure you can supply food, water, and a friend for your pet if they need it. I have 7 pets and getting a new puppy in 2 weeks. My family and I supply everything for our pets. We always have enough food for them and we stay in their limit for eating. For example, we free fed my little brothers guinea pigs and they got fat! We free fed our dogs and they got fat! I free feed my hamster and guess what! She didn't get fat! Some animals are pigs with their food and some eat the just right amount. Talk to your vet about free feeding your pet and ask if they might need to go on a "diet". Please look at the list below of things a pet needs and doesn't need.
